Exterior of 5009 Apple Pie Place

Mailbox

Ucchii's mailbox is shaped like Pteragordon. Next to it is Daigo's mailbox which is shaped like Gabutyra.

Plants & Animals

The outsides of the houses are all more or less the same. They're built into the ground, much like hobbit holes, with 'roofs' that are actually just grass and flowers and outside walls that slope like hills. The doors aren't necessarily round, but they can be, and each one has a metal plaque with the names of everyone in the house on it.

Daigo (with a little help from Ucchii), has planted a small garden in the yard in front of their home. A little further away, he has started work on a gazebo (which Ucchii has been less enthusiastic about helping to build since it's making him grumpy).

Interior of 5009 Apple Pie Place

The front door of Ucchii's house is circular and made of dark wood. It opens onto a small stone entranceway where his shoes reside. There is one step up to the wooden hallway that leads into the back of the home. The hallway is narrow and low-ceilinged, with a dark wood floor and sliding doors lining the white stone walls on either side. The sliding doors are constructed simply with wood and white paper (or in some cases frosted glass), and can be left open to air out the home a bit more. Most of the rooms in the house are laid with tatami instead of carpeting, filling Ucchii's home with the smell of dry grass. The walls are made of whitewashed stone and dark wood, and each room has a surprising amount of light from the windows, giving the home a light and airy feeling despite the earthiness of the location and decor.

Down the left side of the hall are the doors leading to Ucchii's bedroom, the bathroom, and the toilet, with Ucchii's bedroom as the closest room to the front door.

Ucchii's bedroom is a simple tatami room with a thick futon, comforter, and pillow to serve as his bedding. During the day he keeps his bedding folded and stored in the closet set in the wall. His bedding he keeps on the lower shelf and his clothes on the upper. He has a few changes of clothes as well as a bunny outfit (his "Dandelion" uniform from his job at a toy store). There is a small shelf made of wood in the room with a little plush toy horse sitting on top - this is Iced Confection, a prize he won during a Lunar New Year festival in Kiseki. There is also a wooden chest in the bedroom that contains Daigo's clothes and possessions.

The door to the left of the bedroom is lined with frosted glass instead of paper, and opens to reveal a bathroom. There is a large bathtub set in cedar and a washing area with a floor embedded with smooth, rounded stones. Closer to the door is a modern-looking sink - simple white porcelain with little shelves to one side and hooks to the other, and a mirror hanging above it. There is a small first aid kit in a wooden box located in a cabinet beneath the sink. The bathroom is filled with the gentle aroma of cedar, seeming to promise many a relaxing evening.

There's another door to the left of the bathroom, containing a room with a small porcelain toilet, snugly situated and also smelling pleasantly of cedar.

On the right side of the hallway, from back to front, are the pantry, kitchen, tea room, and living room. The pantry is cool and dry, its shelves reasonably stocked with dried seaweed and fish, tea, rice, herbs, beans, and other foods that would keep for a while. There are even some instant soups.

The kitchen is right next to the pantry, and compared with the rest of the house it is more modern. It has dark hardwood floors that match the hallway. There is a small white fridge in the corner - at first containing only a jar of miso paste and a convenience store style ice cream cone. There's a sink, surfaces for cutting and preparation, and a woodburning cookstove/oven/rice cooker, with plenty of cookware to suit his needs. This is where he keeps the large mortar and pestle used for pounding mochi (a task that needs to be performed outside).

On the right wall of the kitchen is a small sliding door that leads to the tea room. It is one of two entrances - the one in the kitchen is for the use of the host. To the left of the entrance (still in the kitchen) is a preparation area called the mizuyu where bowls, whisks, and other implements of a Japanese tea ceremony are stored.

The guests can enter the tea room through the hallway door. The room itself is very small - only capable of seating three guests comfortably. The tatami is new and green. There is a sunken hearth brazier cut into a square in the floor, and in the back wall is set a little alcove. The ceiling of the back wall follows an uneven line, bordered by the protrusion of a thick tree root around which the room was built; the root tastefully disrupts the symmetry of the room. The root disappears into the wall it shares with the last room on the right.

The final room on the right is the biggest in the house - an all-purpose living space with tatami flooring, flat cushions for sitting, a low sofa against one wall, and a low wooden table. The table can actually convert into a kotatsu in winter - it has a built in electric heater underneath its surface. There is a large closet in the living room too, and inside is a blanket to be used with the kotatsu, some other seasonal items, and the giant mug big enough for Gabutyra to drink coffee out of. There is a small bookshelf in the room with a single volume belonging to Ucchii on it: the Book of 100 Poets. The rest of the bookshelf has been taken over by some of Ian's books and research papers. An incense burner sits on top of the shelf. In a little basket next to the bookshelf are Ucchii's knitting supplies and some half-finished projects from when he picked up the hobby with Lilo. On the walls of the living room, Ucchii has hung two framed crayon drawings - one by Daigo and the other by Lilo - side by side.

The tree root extending from the wall shared with the tea room juts out from a corner of the living room where the wall meets the ceiling. It creates a kind of shelf before disappearing back into the earth above, its placement fully integrated into the design of the room. Pteragordon and Minityra use this shelf as a perch for sleeping and spending time.

Character Bio

Character Name: Utsusemimaru (nickname: Ucchii)
Canon: Zyuden Sentai Kyouryuuger
Timeline: episode 33
Original Game: Kiseki at IJ
Original App: Here & Stats Meme & We The Lost App

Age: 29 (technically at least 469)
Race/species: Human
Birthday: Not stated (player selected: May 17)
Relationship status: In a relationship with Daigo Kiryuu (from Kiseki)

Appearance: He is 181 cm/5'9" tall. (picspam)

Possessions:
- Gaburichanger
- 6 Pteragordon zyudenchi (charged), 1 +6 zyudenchi (inside Mini Pteragordon)
- Mobuckle - contains Ucchii's zyudenchi in addition to acting as a communication device among the Kyouryuugers - Ucchii's now has an ice cream cone shaped keychain attached to it
- Zandar Thunder
- Mini-Pteragordon, a mini robot dinosaur partner (normally he's bigger than a helicopter, but now he's the size of a hawk)

Personality: Utsusemimaru is a kind, humble man, addressing everyone with the honorific "-dono" (roughly translated to sir/lady). He is very helpful and eager to make friends. Sometimes he sticks his nose in other people's business and meddles with the intention of doing good. This can be a bit overbearing depending on the person. He has a strong sense of morality - at times too strong - which can lead to clashes with people who have fewer scruples. However, Ucchii is also willing to look past his judgments and see the other side of things, and is quick to forgive if he has a misunderstanding with someone. He is also ready to take the blame should any trouble arise; his apologies, while honest, can seem a little extreme (for example, he kowtowed to his teammates just for mistaking salt for sugar while cooking eggs for them).

Ucchii loves children and has a big soft spot for them, but he's working on being less indulgent. He worries about his own weaknesses, since they were the indirect cause of his lord's death in the Sengoku Period, and something that his lord warned him about. He works hard to become stronger, which sometimes results in him taking too much of the burden on himself to protect others. He's learning day by day to rely on others more. Since he missed 400 years of cultural progress, he is sometimes surprised by modern day customs, but his natural eagerness to try new things and his quick learning abilities ensure that he's never too lost. Except at the beach. The beach is a lost cause. (Basically Ucchii doesn't know how to function around adult women and will actually run away in terror if one tries to flirt with him.)

Powers: Ucchii was born in the Sengoku Period, where fighting was common in Japan, and though he was not a samurai from birth, he became one as an adult. As a result, Ucchii is fast, strong in hand-to-hand combat, and accurate with his aim. As is the case with all the Kyouryuuger, when he is transformed into Kyouryuu Gold Ucchii receives added strength, endurance, and speed from his suit. He uses the wing-like cape on the back of his suit to glide through the air while fighting.

Ucchii's weapon of choice is the sword, and he is shown to be extremely proficient with it. He developed a sword technique called "raidenken" (lightning sword), where he can summon lightning around his sword and fire it at an opponent. His main weapon is the Zandar Thunder, a sword he summons from a bolt of lightning. He also has his Gaburichanger, which serves as a gauntlet with a blade and can also fire attacks at opponents from a distance.

Ucchii is also good at cooking, cleaning, sewing, and other "handyman" type jobs.

[OOC]
Backtagging: Always!
Threadhopping/Threadjacking: Should be fine but please ask first!
Fourthwalling: No, to an extent. If Super Sentai/Power Rangers is something that your character is likely to have seen, it's fine to acknowledge that it exists as a concept, but not, "I recognize you from the show Kyouryuuger!"
Offensive subjects (elaborate): Excessive violence, gore. I also really dislike seeing pictures of titans (Attack on Titan) and shiba inu (a shiba bit me in the face).
What's the best way to plot with you/are you open to plotting? Definitely open to plotting! The best way is to PM me on plurk (sakusha)!

[IC]
Hugging this character: Go for it! If your character is an adult woman, though, he will be uncomfortable/nervous.
Kissing this character: Ask first. He's in a relationship in We The Lost, so his reaction probably won't be good.
Flirting with this character: Go for it! He'll want to put a stop to it after a while, though.
Fighting with this character: Talk to me first! I am open to fights (physical or verbal), but I would like to set up a plan for the consequences/reconciliation.
Injuring this character (include limits and severity): Definitely open to it, but talk to me first please. Bruises and scratches are fine, but anything that would leave long-term damage or a scar I'd like to plot out first.
Killing this character: We can discuss it, but I would need all cast members/close CR to agree to it first.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: That's fine! I am happy to tl;dr about what they'd see depending on the situation.
What can characters hand-wave about yours? Unless we thread them meeting for the first time or if we don't get to that point, you can assume he's told them his nickname (Ucchii). Ask for other things!

Warnings: Ucchii is a bit of a stick-in-the-mud about moral issues, and though he tries to act in everyone's best interests, he can sometimes clash with characters who refuse to change for whatever reason. However, he's also quick to forgive people if he's proved to be incorrect about his assumptions, so even if it's hard I think I can manage for him to resolve any personality conflicts. To avoid any misunderstandings among players, though, I would like to plan out the progress/resolution of any IC conflicts beforehand, so we know where things are going and how they'll be resolved.

Kyouryuuger Rules
1. Zyudenryuu come with a +# zyudenchi that shrinks them down to mini size upon arrival, and they cannot resume their original size while in The Meadous.
2. A basic Kyouryuu Change transformation requires the presence of a Zyudenryuu (because transformation depends on being able to access the power of the dino spirits).
3. Transformed Kyouryuugers will have less power here than on Earth because they are drawing power from their Zyudenryuu only, not from the spirits of all the dinosaurs (as they do on Earth).
4. Zyudenchi can be recharged with the presence of a Zyudenryuu, but since there are no other dino spirits here, recharging takes significantly longer (approximately a week and a half).
5. Mini dinosaurs can be wished for using points. If the mini dinosaurs are non-magical and act as pets (with no effect on zyudenchi charge time), they will cost 60 points each. If the mini dinosaurs are magical with an effect on zyudenchi charge time (the more magical mini dinos, the faster the charge time), they will count as battle pets/power regains and cost 350 points each.
